Anna Meares has reportedly triumphed with gold at the keirin event as her country concludes the esteemed World Track Cycling Championship on a golden route. It’s surely a remarkable win for the most decorated contemporary female cyclist who made her fans and nation proud with her record-breaking eleventh title.

Annette Edmondson claimed her 2nd gold at ominum making Australia proud once again.

Australia has won eleven medals overall at the recently concluded Paris hosted World championship. It was 4 more in comparison to any other participating nation- 4 gold, 4 silver & 3 bronze. However, the host nation, France, concluded with 5 golds.

Pro Cycling Team For Israel Launched With The Help Of Peter Sagan

Peter Sagan (Team Saxo Bank-Tinkoff Bank) helped with the launch of the very first pro cycling team for Israel in November when he was in Jerusalem.  This move on the part of Peter Sagan has been very noble as he has supported the start of cycling in a country like Israel.

Along with Sagan, Ron Baron (Cycling Academy’s president) and Nir Barkat (Jerusalem’s mayor) were present in Jerusalem to launch the pro cycling team. The team is going to start its cycling career in Argentina at the Tour de San Luis which is going to start in January.

This pro cycling team is going to include one Czech Republican professional cyclist, one Slovakian rider, four Polish professional racers and five Israelis riders. Sagan is also going to be a part of the team as he was called upon to be the ambassador of this team. Continue reading
